Semiconductor shortage puts Ford’s KC plant in park
Ford Motor Co. is putting production of its F-150 pickups at the Kansas City Assembly Plant into park.
The company will halt assembly of the trucks in Kansas City for a week, beginning Monday, due to the continuing shortage of semiconductors, Reuters reports. Work on F-150s will continue at Ford’s plant in Dearborn, Michigan.
