NFL Draft in Kansas City draws big numbers — in person and on air
Kansas City’s turn on the NFL Draft stage appeared to be the big win that the league and city officials had hoped for.
The three-day festival of football attracted more than 312,000 people — topping projections of 250,000-300,000. The first round of the draft on Friday night attracted an estimated 125,000 to festivities that ranged from a fan fest and red carpet on the grounds of the WWI Museum and Memorial to a stage area as large as a football field in front of Union Station.
