Hostess pledges to limit advertising of sweet treats to pre-teens
Hostess, whose snack cakes and sweet treats evoke memories of childhood, will take a more mature attitude to advertising.
Hostess Brands LLC ( Nasdaq: TWNK) said it has pledged to limit its advertising aimed at children under the age of 13. The Leawood-based company signed on to the Children’s Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative, a national effort to make food advertising to young children healthier.
