Compass Minerals makes cuts to corporate staff
A Kansas City-based public company’s steps to cut costs hit its corporate staff, in the form of a sizeable layoff.
Compass Minerals International Inc. (NYSE: CMP) cut 48.5 full-time-equivalent positions, or about 16% of its corporate workforce, earlier this month. The Overland Park offered affected employees severance packages and outplacement services and expected to take about $3.3 million in related charges, it said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
