A federal judge on Friday sentenced a De Soto businessman who admitted to conspiring to defraud the government of tax money.
Charlie James, 43, was ordered to pay $215,000 in restitution and to serve one year of probation. Prosecutors say James was co-owner of KC United LLC, which owned several contracting companies.
