Prairie Village medical device startup Artio Medical Inc. hired a seasoned veteran to lead the rollout of its first commercial product.

Digital Ally gets lift from Wyandotte County Sheriff order
Digital Ally Inc. got a boost from the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office in the form of an order for video products.
The Lenexa-based company announced on Thursday what it called a “notable order” from the metro sheriff’s department. The department ordered 23 of Digital Ally’s FirstVu Pro body-worn cameras and 23 EVO HD in-car systems for recording audio and video. The Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office used Digital Ally’s subscription payment program.

Civic Council of Greater Kansas City names Scott as president
Dred Scott said there’s a straight line from a career as an educator and head of Boys & Girls Clubs to his new position as president of an organization made up of Kansas City’s top business leaders: It’s all about working toward the future and bringing positive change to his hometown.
