A lopsided health care issue is costing the nation billions, and a group of Kansas City stakeholders is striving to help employers and others right the problem locally.
Health inequities cost the U.S. economy $451 billion in 2018 — up 41% from the prior estimate in 2014, according to a study done under the umbrella of the National Institutes of Health.
