David Gray was named the new executive director of Kansas City Ballet.
Gray takes over from Jeffrey Bentley on July 1. Bentley had led the organization since 1998, according to a release.
Gray was the executive director of Pennsylvania Ballet, now Philadelphia Ballet, starting as an interim and taking on the role permanently until 2017. In that role, he oversaw the implementation of a new strategic plan, according to the release. Before that, he was the press director for New York City Ballet.
