Health Forward Foundation has closed out its calendar year by providing more than $7.5 million in grants to 140 Kansas City-area nonprofits.
The funding is through the foundation’s defined grants program. During the course of the year, Health Forward Foundation reviewed 215 proposals totaling more than $14 million, according to a release. Since it started making defined grants, the foundation has awarded more than $69 million to 442 nonprofits.
