The Food and Drug Administration included Kansas City-based CBD American Shaman among five companies to get an official warning letter on Monday.
The letter shares the FDA’s opinion that delivering CBD-infused food and beverage into interstate commerce violates the Food, Beverage and Cosmetic Act. The FDA also expressed specific concerns about American Shaman products that might appeal to children: CBD-infused suckers, hard candies, cookies and gummies.
