Thank You Walt Disney targets fall 2023 start on long-awaited Laugh-O-Gram Building restoration

Walt Disney's former Laugh-O-Gram Building along the Troost Avenue corridor for years has been slated to be remade with a digital learning training facility, interactive museum and coworking space, among other uses. Pending a recent bid for state tax credits, the approximately $7 million effort could begin in earnest next fall.

Power & Light District has filled almost all original development blocks, with multiple projects still coming

As The Cordish Cos. continues to build Three Light and sign tenants in the Kansas City Power & Light District, the developer conceivably could expand the entertainment zone's boundaries down the road, based on the limited number of sites remaining for future projects inside the current borders — and the city has agreed to provide incentives to more projects than there appears to be room for.

NorthPoint clinches approval for $130M ArriveKC apartments along streetcar extension

NorthPoint Development now can proceed with its 373-unit ArriveKC multifamily complex northwest of 31st and Main streets. The $130 million project will see portions of the oft-vandalized former Trinity Lutheran Hospital demolished, more than 20 years after the facilities were shuttered.
