Lender behind snafus for Hyatt House, Hard Rock hotels files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Developers of two Kansas City-area hotels unsuccessfully tapped AltosGroups LLC for construction loans. On Jan. 9, the lender voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 protection in Florida. The failure appears to have derailed metro project, but the other found a workaround.
