Copaken cuts affordable units in Crossroads high-rise, lands smaller Port KC incentive

Copaken Brooks was not awarded a $3 million grant it recently sought from Kansas City's Housing Trust Fund, in providing 22 affordable apartments in a proposed Crossroads high-rise. As a result, the developer halved the $38.9 million project's affordable unit count, and Port KC awarded a smaller incentive package than initially requested.

Amended Western Auto Lofts lawsuits add to claims that condo association knew about costly repairs

Three Light construction hits its peak; Cordish eyes next big projects in downtown KC

Cordish officials celebrated the last column pouring for the Three Light apartments, which is set to open in September. Preleasing activity at the $140 million residential tower likely bodes well for future projects the Baltimore-based builder plans around the Kansas City Power & Light District.

Veeva Systems sets sights on 100 new KC jobs — at least — in preparing downtown engineering hub

California-based Veeva Systems confirmed plans to hire at least 100 local employees over the next five years. Later this year, it will occupy a new engineering hub in downtown Kansas City's Lightwell office building, sized to support close to 200 regionwide employees over time.

Bally’s KC casino hits construction milestone on $40M renovation [PHOTOS]

Rhode Island-based Bally's Corp. soon will wall in a $40 million retail and dining addition to the former Isle of Capri casino that began work in August 2021. The full casino renovation is slated for completion in the fall.
