Minority-owned developer sues UG over Indian Springs Mall site’s procurement process

The Unified Government temporarily paused a recent request for qualifications seeking developers for the former Indian Springs Mall property and two other sites after a minority-owned firm's lawsuit alleged "unexplained technical glitches." The episode represents just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the UG's economic development dysfunction, the group argued in a letter to Mayor Tyrone Garner.

Cushman & Wakefield names new managing principal for Kansas City office

KC developer proposes $224.9M remake of Hardesty Federal Complex

The 12-story Hardesty Self Storage building and smaller surrounding structures could be renovated with 587 mixed-income apartments, a daycare, food hall and other community-oriented uses under a $224.9 million plan.
