Chinese battery additive manufacturer will invest $94.7M in new New Century headquarters

Cnano Technology USA Inc., a subsidiary of Jiangsu Cnano Technology Co. Ltd., will open a 333,365-square-foot manufacturing facility for electric-vehicle components in Johnson County. The $94.7 million project is expected to create 112 jobs.

White to Sherman: Royals must ‘unequivocally convey’ commitment to Jackson County

Jackson County Executive Frank White Jr. appears to have not aggressively advocated for a new $2 billion baseball stadium and ballpark district for the Kansas City Royals. But a recent letter he sent to team CEO John Sherman shows him pointedly pushing the team to choose Jackson, not Clay, County.

Why KC’s increasing apartment valuations worry affordable housing advocates

In an analysis of 45 apartment communities that sold in the 2021-2022 tax cycle, smaller properties experienced a far higher average valuation increase than their larger equivalents with Jackson County's 2023 reassessment. Tenants probably will shoulder the brunt of resulting rent increases, experts said.

Royals give a timeline for sharing stadium site selection, ballpark district details

Royals Chairman and CEO John Sherman issued an open letter on Tuesday saying when the team hopes to announce its preferred site for a proposed new stadium and entertainment district. Competing are the East Village in Downtown and a collection of properties in North Kansas City.
