Revised Jackson County measure would hinge sales tax vote on ‘acceptable’ Royals and Chiefs stadium terms

The initial Jackson County ordinance did not say an April ballot question on a 40-year sales tax extension for the Royals and Chiefs would be conditioned on new leases, community benefit terms and a ballpark site selection. The measure's sponsor on Monday filed updated legislation addressing those apparent oversights.
