City planners have signed off on a rezoning request to develop a truck storage and repair facility near Interstate 35.

A new racial discrimination lawsuit has been filed against a Kansas City-based engineering firm.

The development would cover eight properties in downtown Mission, including several former office buildings and city-owned Beverly Park.

The engineering firm is extending its reach on the East Coast with the acquisition of two environmental service firms under the same company.

The homes would be rentals for 15 years and then be offered for sale.

Only 3% of architects earn the distinction, and this year's fellowship class includes only one Kansas City professional.
