It looks like a property owner will try to develop a business park on 186 acres in Gardner after seeing plans get no traction while the parcels were part of Olathe.

The Stone Ridge development in Lenexa is about eight miles from Panasonic’s $4 billion electric-vehicle battery plant.

The proposed building includes office space, truck repair bays and training areas for drivers.

The developer's $3.5 million renovation would include lighting enhancements, roof repairs and facade upgrades — potentially backed by a new CID.

The decision by planners puts Olathe Gateway on a path to start construction by July 15 and wrap it up about a year later.
