Kathy Gates started out in the marketing agency world, but she always felt like something was missing. It spurred her to become the owner of The Running Well Store, which is among this year’s Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Top 10 Small Businesses.

The downtown Overland Park location will be Made in KC's 18th area store. It could be its last new store, but only time will tell, Made in KC's co-owner said.

Western Governors University expects to train and graduate more than 1,000 nurses by 2026 in Missouri, thanks to a new simulation and training lab it's building out in Kansas City. As a part of its expansion plan, the university is opening nursing labs in 11 states, including the one in Missouri.
