Hawaiian Bros continues expansion with new Independence location
Kansas City-based Hawaiian Bros Island Grill will open an Independence location on Tuesday, its eighth Kansas City-area restaurant.
The new restaurant at 4030 S. Noland Road is the 16th Hawaiian Bros location in the U.S, according to a release. Its website lists a Lenexa location coming soon, as well as coming restaurants in Forth Worth, Frisco and Hurst, Texas.
Outside Missouri, Kansas and Texas, Hawaiian Bros operates in the Chicago area and New York City.

Raymore senior living facility marks Texas nonprofit’s first acquisition
A Texas nonprofit acquired two senior living facilities on Tuesday, including one in Raymore.
Subsidiaries of Boncrest Resource Group, Inc. acquired Foxwood Springs at 1500 West Foxwood Drive, Raymore, and Robin Run Village in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are Boncrest's first acquisitions.

Ford Motor Co. has a new F-150 police vehicle, the company announced in a Tuesday release.
The F-150 Police Responder is assembled at the Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo. It will arrive in fleets in the fall.
