Evergy plans solar array at KC plant as it moves toward renewable energy
Evergy Inc. plans to add 10 megawatts of solar energy to its Hawthorn plant in northeast Kansas City, the utilities company announced Wednesday.
The decision still needs regulatory approval but could be operational by the fall of this year. Evergy plans to install at least 22,000 solar panels for the addition.

Five KC dental offices acquired by Arkansas brand as part of expansion
A Little Rock, Arkansas-based dental company expanded across Arkansas and into the Kansas City metro area with a series of acquisitions, including five locally, the company announced Wednesday.
Rock Dental Brands acquired three local locations of Moore Orthodontics in Lee's Summit, Grandview and Pleasant Hill. It also acquired Burleson Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry locations in Kansas City and Raymore, according to a release.
