Kansas City Chiefs score big ratings, views during AFC Championship game

Television viewership for the AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals was the highest for any conference championship game in four years. CBS drew 53.12 million viewers, the best on record since the Patriots won the 2019 AFC Championship in overtime over the Chiefs, according to a report from Sports Business Journal, a sister publication. Evergy issues RFP to contract or buy energy resources

Evergy Inc. wants to produce more power without building new plants. The Kansas City-area utility company (Nasdaq: EVRG) this week issued a request for proposals for Evergy to purchase or contract up to 1,240 megawatts of energy resources. The solicitation requires services to be up and running by 2026 and interconnect to the Southwest Power Pool. Evergy will give preference to projects in Missouri and Kansas, especially those within Evergy's service area. Resources need to be at least 50 MW.…
