Amazon opens heavy item fulfillment center in Liberty

Amazon.com Inc. opened its second facility in Liberty and plans to hire 500 people there to specialize in fulfilling orders for heavy items. The giant retailer already employs about 6,000 people at 12 Kansas City-area facilities.

The star player on Tuesday announced Kelce Jam, which will happen April 28 — the Friday of NFL Draft weekend — at Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs. Kelce will be there to host the event.
