For those watching AMC's rise from a hypothetical bankruptcy filing to a meme trading phenomenon, none of this is going to feel surprising. But for the uninitiated, the change in valuations can be astonishing.

A fast-growing hospitality company has added five more U.S. hotels to its portfolio, including one on the doorstep to Kansas City International Airport (Code: MCI).

In April, TranSystems received an undisclosed recapitalization investment from a New York-based private equity firm. Now, it's putting that capital to work.

The pandemic has meant huge growth for a 40-year-old Overland Park-based company, but also a huge increase in local employment from 150 employees (pre-pandemic) to 500 as of March. Now, it's gearing up for even more growth and a new HQ.
