David Starling, who served as a top leader at Kansas City Southern for eight-and-a-half years, has died. He was 73. Party City will hold bankruptcy auction for a lease to one of its seven KC-area stores

Party City Holdco Inc. is auctioning off 12 of its leases in six states — including one in the Kansas City area. The Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey-based party goods and Halloween specialty retailer (NYSE: PRTY) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in mid-January as part of a pre-negotiated restructuring.
