Kansas City’s new terminal helps airport deliver fifth-most passengers ever

Kansas City International Airport appears to be outpacing an industry-wide recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. The opening of a new single-terminal configuration in early 2023 as well as an increase in destinations from its biggest carrier probably helped boost KCI's growth.

Fountain Haus owners shut down multifloor queer bar/nightclub in Kansas City’s Westport neighborhood

Billed as the largest queer bar within 200 miles, the locally owned business had four nightlife concepts under one LGTBQ-friendly roof. A co-owner said it isn't possible to keep operating Fountain Haus, which "encountered a few more challenges than we expected."
