Founded in 1982 as a for-profit subsidiary National Board of Respiratory Care, Applied Measurement Professionals Inc. was sold to one of its biggest competitors, PSI Services, at the end of 2015. Now, the business built around it is back in the Kansas City area with a new nonprofit owner.
