Legends Outlets Kansas City's new Aldi grocery store is readying for an April 1 opening.
A typical Aldi store is 12,000 square feet, but the Legends location at 1945 N. 110th St. spans 20,000 square feet.
The store is part of Aldi's national expansion plan to become the nation's third-largest grocery retailer by store count in 2022. This year alone, it plans to add 100 stores in the U.S. Aldi currently operates more than 2,000 stores in 37 states, including 20 stores in the Kansas City metro.
